We brightened up this beautiful living room for a client in Arlington Heights. She wanted to lighten the existing color palette, find a creative way to display photos of family travels and create a space that was both inviting and elegant. This room is now her family's favorite place for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine to wind down in the evening.
Who said a laundry room needs to look sterile and uninviting? As the main pass-through to a backyard, this space needed to look presentable for guest coming in and out, while functioning as both a laundry room and mudroom. Durable cabinetry and countertops, along with closed wall lockers, culminated in a space that is multi-functional--and easy on the eyes.
A different view of the laundry/mudroom. Two-toned cabinetry provided visual interest.
This space was created in a front living room. The clients wanted a space to entertain family and friends but also a place they could enjoy conversation with one another at the end of a long day.
